Martin was born and raised in France, close to Lyon. He received an Engineering Degree in medicinal chemistry at Sigma Clermont and a MS degree in biochemistry at University Clermon Auvergne (France). In 2021, he finished his PhD at the University of Basque Country (Spain) with Prof. Enrique Gómez-Bengoa and at the University of Stockholms (Sweden) with Prof. Belén Martín-Matute. From 2022, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow for 3 years in the lab of Prof. Julian West in photochemistry at Rice University. He joined the Pitre lab in January 2025 and is currently working on projects related to nucleophilic cobalt photocatalysis.
